A few words from Terence, Gaisce Programme Hike Leader , “On Day One we walked 17 k. On Day two we walked 9.9 k. It was a great achievement which was made very easy due to the girl’s positive attitude. They took on the challenge and laughed and sang their way over the hills. Clearly they are all great friends and consequently very united. They worked the mountains as a team, they listened to our instructions, and followed without challenge, which is rare. It was probably the most enjoyable Gaisce walk I have done. If Rosemont girls are representative of the generation that will lead us in this Millennium, and the challenges that have to be faced up to, then we are very well prepared.”
