Dear parents,
Firstly, we want to congratulate the girls for their engagement with the necessary changes to school life due to Covid-19. It is great to see them showing adaptability, good humour and resilience.
Secondly , we want to thank parents for their cooperation and support in getting the girls back to school. We commend your care in monitoring when to send your daughter to school or when to keep them home under current guidelines.
Key points which will continue to support you in this regard:
i) all decisions regarding whether a student should stay out of school are under the direction of the medical authorities (your GP, or the HSE where relevant).
As a school, we are not authorised to advise on this.
ii) as many of you may know, it is free:
- to consult your GP regarding potential Covid-19 symptoms
- get a Covid-19 test when instructed to do so by a relevant health professional
We encourage you to use those services whenever you have a doubt or concern
iii) we have put a system in place to ensure our girls do not miss out on Teaching and Learning if they are instructed to stay home and self-isolate.
Now, each class group has a daily ‘tech buddy’ in place who will enable your daughter(s) to connect to their classes live online while out of school.
If your daughter is instructed to self-isolate by a medical professional, please let the school know and we will advise you about how to ensure your daughter can still access her classes and keep up her school work.
Naturally, this option is for use when a student is at home and in good health.
Students who are unwell are not required to access this live online facility.
We are attaching the Rosemont Covid-19 Policy and Rosemont Covid-19 School Response Plan documents for your reference.
Once again, we hope that you and your families are staying safe and well.
We encourage our families to take all the extra care being recommended by the national health authorities regarding limiting social interactions at this time.
