A lot happened in recognition of Science Week in Rosemont School:

As it is the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table of the Elements all science classes were involved in making an edible version of the Periodic Table.

Fifth and sixth years got to attend a presentation on ‘The Genetics Revolution’ in the Technological University Dublin.  The presentation covered topics linked to the Senior Cycle Biology course and gave the students a clear insight into careers in genetics.

Transition year students organised a science quiz for 2nd years on Wednesday, Niamh, Lorena and Lexi came 1st and Maria Jose, Evlyn and Alejandra came 2nd.  In addition, our transition years organised the Solar System Scavenger Hunt on Thursday lunch time, which was won by the following teams – 1st place to Evlyn & Nabeeha 2nd yr, 2nd place to Charlie & Martha 1st yr, and 3rd place to Amelia, Carla and Ella 1st yr.
