We are sorry to have to share the death of Bernice Treacy (Née Martin)
Bernice joined Rosemont in 2002, teaching Geography and Mathematics  From 2007 – 2010, Bernice was also our Deputy Principal.
Bernice was such an important part of Rosemont’s history and development. A born educator with a great sense of fun and humour.  For all of us, she was a wonderful colleague, always there to support and help others.  Bernice was brave, resilient, clever, patient, compassionate and kind. She had a cheeky sense of humour, with an incredible ability to know what was happening in every part of the school campus at all times. Nothing was ever a problem with Bernice.  She knew the girls so well and always did what was best for each one, supporting them academically and personally to reach their full potential.
Some words from our Past pupils: The teenage years are such a tender time and you only appreciate when you get older the role teachers played in the person you have become. Bernice has such a significant positive role for so many of us.
Remembering fun happy times when she would bring treats from the staff room to our 6th year Maths class and lots of fun times on the social project in Mexico 2004.
Our sympathies are with Eric, Ella, Ava & Conor,  Hugh & Bridget, and all of Bernice’s family and many friends. May she rest in peace.
